Duration: 1 day
Data modelling, data visualisation and data analysis. These are three of the main and fundamental features of Power BI. We offer a standard Power BI course which delves into creating data models in Power BI, and subsequently sharing interactive reports and dashboards. But for those of you who are already familiar with Power BI, wishing to expand your knowledge (of certain aspects like DAX), then we also offer an advanced Power BI course.
The only pre-requisite for this Power BI training course is some proven experience and competency using Power BI and DAX. While we are not explicitly saying attending our other Power BI data modelling course is required, we’d recommend it to get acquainted with many of the DAX functions, variables and visualisations you’re likely to encounter with this course. Given that this intensive Power BI course covers technical processes in half the time as the other course, we’d recommend this course to those who are already skilled with many Power BI functions.
This course covers the following areas:
- A review of the DAX basics
- Introduction to ‘M’
- Advanced DAX functions
- Power BI variables
- Advanced data visualisation
- Connecting to external data sources
- Setting user roles in Power BI Desktop
- Creating and sharing dashboards
- Advanced query techniques
The above really only scratches the surface of what is included with this Power BI training program, but we offer a more specific data visualisation training course if you are more interested in the art of creating visuals in Power BI.
