WHY YOU NEED TRAINING IN EXCEL

I use Excel everyday – why would I need training?

This is a phrase I hear too often. People assume that if they use Excel (or any other application) every day, then they know all about it. There are many things we use every day that we accept we know only at a superficial level. The computer you are using, for example. Unless you are a technician, you wouldn’t know how to change a drive if it breaks, or fix it if it stops working.

Yet – for some reason – it is different with applications you use. You think you know them all. I’ve seen people who believe with all their heart that they have mastered Excel, but are in fact using it as if it was still 1997. They have indeed mastered few features a while ago, but they haven’t even heard about the latest developments.

Keeping up to date Excel

The fact is, there is nothing to be embarrassed about; this is perfectly normal. You keep up to date with your professional news. Some jobs require constant learning. Occupations like law, accounting, medicine make you study all your life. But not just those, if you are a builder then you have to keep track of new materials, new tools, new concepts. You often don’t have time to learn much more than that. That’s why people often use Excel as a calculator rather than the very complex and versatile tool that it can be with some training.

Excel Automation is our Profession

For us Excel, VBA, Power BI (and the rest of Microsoft) is our profession. This is our job to know all about it. This is our main occupation. We study it all the time, expanding our knowledge and keeping up with the updates. This is sometimes quite a job! For example, Microsoft releases new Power BI updates every month. You should spend at least full day (sometimes more) just to go through all the new features to fully understand them. This is why we can teach you exactly what you need for your job.

Bespoke Excel training courses

Apart from standard training, we also offer bespoke training. Show us your files and we will tell if you can benefit from our excel training courses. Training doesn’t need to be a full day affair; a couple of hours could be enough to improve your spreadsheets.

Contact us if you want to expand your skills in Excel, VBA or Power BI. We are waiting to hear from you!
